Newsight develops advanced CMOS image sensor chips for two main business units: Machine vision and Spectral Analysis.

Our 3D machine vision depth-camera sensors serve verticals such as Mobile, Robotics, Industry 4.0, Automotive Safety, Smart City, and more. Our core️ patented technology is the enhanced-Time-of-Flight (eTOF™) for 3D distance measurement, allowing for unparalleled performance with less than a 1% error rate. Newsight has recently launched its one-of-a-kind solid-state LiDAR reference design, the eTOF™️ LiDAR, currently being evaluated by top industry leaders. The sensors are low power with a frame rate of up to 100,000 fps, allowing high accuracy for longer distances.

One of our automotive success stories is a commercial agreement signed with ZKW, an Austrian leading tier 1 owned by LG, for smart headlights in vehicles. After a successful prototype, the solution is now stationed in a demo car and will soon be deployed in vehicles worldwide. Newsight’s second business unit is Spectral Analysis, based on the company’s spectrometer on-chip device, the SpectraLIT™️. The technology provides affordable quality inspection solutions for Water, Food & Beverages, Medical Industries, etc. The company has launched two successful JV companies under the spectral analysis business unit: Watersight – a JV of Newsight and Mekorot - Israel's National water company, for real-time water monitoring, currently raising in a seed round. The second JV is Virusight - established with Sheba medical center to develop a game-changing pathogens detection test (including COVID-19) that generates results within seconds.

Spectral Analysis

Newsight answers the need for a portable, affordable, lab-quality spectral analysis device, without compromising on accuracy and sensitivity. The company has launched two JV companies under the spectral analysis unit:

• Water Monitoring - Watersight is a joint venture between Newsight Imaging and Mekorot - Israel's National water company. By leveraging its unique combination of spectroscopy and AI technology, Watersight offers a powerful and affordable, end-to-end SaaS (Sensing as a Service) monitoring system. Watersight’s solution ensures clean water anytime, anywhere. This unique technology is based on Newsight’s proven spectral sensor, empowered by AI, to provide an accurate diagnosis of the water’s quality and security in real-time.
• Medical - During the COVID-19 pandemic, Newsight Imaging collaborated with Sheba Medical Center - one of the top 10 hospitals in the world, to develop the world's fastest COVID-19 test. Together they launched a joint venture - Virusight Diagnostic. Virusight is an AI software company that uses Newsight's unique spectral acquisition technology - the SpectraLIT™, to diagnose pathogens in human samples (both oral rinse and swab samples). The technology was already granted the CE Mark and is in the process of global commercialization. With over 40 active countries around the world, Virusight’s mission is to enable access to immediate, affordable testing, everywhere.

Machine Vision

eTOF LiDAR

The eTOF™️ LiDAR is a solid-state reference design developed by Newsight Imaging to demonstrate its game-changing patented eTOF™️ technology. A fully versatile 3D depth sensing solution, backed by Newsight’s NSI1000 sensor, and eTOF™️ technology, the reference design allows a high-performance for longer distances with improved immunity to Sunlight and Blinging Cars. The eTOF LiDAR will enable LiDAR manufacturers, Tier 1's, and OEM's to build a reliable and affordable 3D vision solution for ADAS and autonomous driving.

Automotive and Smart City

Our sensors are ideal for automotive applications such as Smart Parking, ADAS, DMS, autonomous driving. The technology could also be deployed in Smart City applications as traffic monitoring, streetlights, security cameras, etc.

Robotics

Newsight enables a 3D vision solution for displacement, distance, and thickness measurement applications used in factory automation, electronics production, and robotics. Providing reliable results even in continuous industrial operation, all in a low-cost solution. Newsight's sensor is “AI Ready”, it is compatible with AI and machine learning, creating new advanced sensing, enabling the sensor to “learn” using AI and make the device smarter.
