Dr. Dodiuk-Gad earned her M.D. degree, Cum Laude, and received an award of excellence for her M.D. thesis in 2002 from the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, Israel.

She completed her residency in Dermatology with excellence in the Dermatology Department of Emek Medical Center in Israel in 2008. Subsequently, she conducted a three-year clinical fellowship followed by a four-year research fellowship in Advanced Medical Dermatology in the Dermatology Division at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Roni P. Dodiuk-Gad is currently the head of the Inflammatory and Autoimmune Skin diseases Unit, Dermatology Department, Emek Medical Center, Israel, the Student’s Education Program & Academic Program of the Dermatology Department at Emek Medical Center in Israel. She is also the head of the Dermatology Program & Clinical Assistant Professor, Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion - Institute of Technology, Israel and an Assistant Professor, status-only appointment, in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Dodiuk-Gad is a global opinion leader in Dermatology, specifically on the topics of adverse cutaneous drug reactions and Darier disease. She mentors students and residents both in Israel and Canada and leads several research teams focusing specifically on these topics. She is invited as a keynote speaker in international and national medical conferences and has participated in organizing leading national and global meetings.

Dr. Dodiuk-Gad has published 50 scientific papers in leading journals of dermatology, eight book chapters and is the co-editor of the book “Advances in Diagnosis and Management of Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions: Current and Future Trends” by Springer-Nature. She received various research grants: Foundation Technion, Legacy Heritage Fund, Harold Grinspoon Foundation, Canadian Dermatology Foundation & USA National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Dodiuk-Gad is in the board of Israel Society of Dermatology and Venereology (ISDV), a member in the educational committee of the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, a member of the academic committee of Emek Medical Center and a member of the 8400 Health Network.

Dr. Dodiuk-Gad has vast international academic and professional collaborations:

  • She established three global educational platforms that aim to facilitate free international knowledge transfer and cross-border cooperation in medicine generally and in dermatology particularly.
  • She is a member in the ENCADO group (EuropeaN group for Cutaneous ADverse event to Oncologic drugs), a member of the research leadership team - North American Therapeutics in Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, and a member of the International Sections Committee, Women's Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Dodiuk-Gad received prestigious awards and honors, including:

  • 2015: Rising Star talk, 23rd World Congress of Dermatology, Vancouver, Canada.
  • 2018: Selected among 40 promising young graduates of Technion by the Technion Alumni Organization.
  • 2021: “Outstanding Researcher Award” by The Coalition of Rare Diseases in Israel.
