“What others do well, we will do extraordinarily well”

I uttered this sentence during one of my surgeries, at the beginning of my journey as a plastic surgeon. Over the years it has become a symbolic motto representing my work and that of my dedicated staff, in everything I do in the hospital, in the operating room, in clinics and in my medical and scientific endeavors. I strive for excellence, constantly aiming for a perfect result, for outstanding quality of work, technique and surgical innovation, all of which I have espoused as both a physician and a surgeon. To me, the joy and delight my work brings to my many patients, who come to see me from all corners of Israel and the world, are a great source of satisfaction.

A successful plastic surgery must result in beauty and grace, providing a more natural look, in perfect harmony with the face and body.

The body and soul are interconnected and affect one another. As the great Latin phrase goes, “anima sana in corpore sano” – meaning ‘a healthy soul in a healthy body.’

Plastic surgery is done as much for the heart and soul as it is done for the body itself. Successful surgery does indeed improve the physical appearance of the body, but it also greatly contributes to body image, confidence, and the happiness and joy that go with them.

Dr. Govrin is one of the top plastic surgery specialists in Israel.

Dr. Govrin received his medical degree from the Technion Faculty of Medicine at Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa. He completed his residency at the Rambam Hospital and held several fellowships at leading medical centers in Europe and the USA.

Dr. Govrin has founded the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya, providing a wide range of medical services using state-of-the-art medical techniques, treating congenital defects, severe burns, organ reconstruction, complex wounds, benign and malignant skin lesions, as well as very rare and unique cases which have been published extensively in medical literature. Among the innovative methods used by Dr. Govrin are advanced laser techniques and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Govrin hosted world-renowned specialists in Israel, all of whom contributed from their experience to promote and advance the surgical and care methods used on patients.

Dr. Govrin led research that was conducted across twelve of the world’s leading medical centers simultaneously. The findings of Dr. Govrin’s research resulted in the development of POLYHEAL – a medical product for treating chronic wounds, for which there was no effective treatment until now. This product will soon enter the market in Israel and around the world.

Dr. Govrin also developed B-Lite – a lightweight breast implant for breast augmentation and breast reconstruction surgeries. This is the first and only development of its kind in the world. The new implant, developed using B-LiteTM technology, is significantly lighter than regular breast mplants, though its physical properties are identical to other high-quality implants currently in use.

As a lightweight implant, B-LiteTM allows each and every woman to achieve her desired breast size while significantly reducing the stress on the breast and the relentless force of gravity over time. B-LiteTM technology is a unique, groundbreaking method for manufacturing and using implants. Following a series of strict and meticulous quality assurance tests, this technology received CE certification, indicating conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). The lightweight implant is also certified by the Israeli Ministry of Health’s Medical Devices Division.

Dr. Govrin has paved the way for the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee, as a unique contribution to the Galilee region and its residents. The many students currently studying medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Safed are a moving testimony that his vision has been realized.

Dr. Govrin is a member on the panel of specialists that examines the eligibility of physicians for receiving their plastic surgery specialty credentials. He regularly attends medical conferences held in Israel and overseas, and has so far published dozens of medical articles in medical literature across the world.

Dr. Govrin has extensive international experience in plastic surgery, and performs various plastic surgeries and treatments, harnessing the most advanced techniques in the world.

Dr. Govrin is considered one of the top five most experienced breast surgeons in the world.

Dr. Govrin has developed many methods for improving the outcome of surgeries for women of all ages, especially women whose breasts have sagged after giving birth and breastfeeding, or women suffering from noticeable breast asymmetry.
